One of my grail art supply item has always been Copic markers. But they were very expensive. My sister got me some Prismacolor markers when I was in college and they were great, but not too awesome for illustration for me. I didn’t get the blending I liked, so I stuck with just coloring in Photoshop.

I ended up buying a set of Copic Multiliners and WOW. Instant love. Why didn’t I buy these when I was in college? Anyway, I kept using them exclusively for my lineart. Eventually, after viewing more and more art, I decided to go for it. For Christmas last year, I bought myself 2 sets of Copic markers.

And I keep buying more and more…! I’m mostly collecting the grays. I feel afraid of moving into color for some reason. But I do have the skintones set and a beautiful blue that I was lucky to win from Copic’s Facebook page :)

Yesterday during the exciting Puppy Bowl XIII (that I watched 3 times out of it’s several airings, back to back) my kiddo and I made some perler bead crafts. She played ice cream shop with it (?), while I created some Adventure Time portraits. I didn’t have a pattern design, I just kind of winged it.

I’m not sure what most people do what perler (hama? nabbi?) art after creating it. Do they sell it? Give it away as gifts?

Around New Years, kiddo and I ventured to a favorite place of ours, Bayou Ceramics. It’s a paint-your-own pottery place. I wanted to go in and paint a candy dish. She picked out a Christmas dog.
