For the past 2 months, I’ve been knitting every day. I am not the greatest knitter, but I haven’t yet challenged myself to knit a hat or something… just scarves. Lots of scarves. I randomly ran into a great project called Scarves for Japan, which is taking donations for knitted or crocheted things. I really wanted to be a part of this, so I worked hard!


A requirement was to write letters for each scarf, then wrap it in plastic wrap. I was able to ship them out about 2 weeks ago.

The white one is the longest~ I think it’s 3 skiens combined :D

A big project for me was getting some shelving put up. After months of searching, I found these acrylic shelves on sale at the Container Store. To be honest I was pretty terrified of installing them.

I invested in a laser level and it was money well spent! I got them up AND they’re straight! It took me 2 days to get everything up. I just wish I’d purchased 3 more to display my Re-Ment, but then I wouldn’t have room for my BJD and soon-coming Dollfie Dreams ^^;

I wanted to start this post about something really cute…. Lucky Stars!

A few months ago, I got really addicted to making these. My sister and I made them when I was younger– actually she made them and I watched in envy! I never understood why mine never worked. A decade later I found out why… I was too used to making tight creases from origami! Lucky Stars aren’t meant to be folded like that ^^; Then… I was making over 100+ stars a day lol Something really great came of it too– I used to get very slightly bothersome hand cramps after hand sewing (like tiny snaps and buttons!), but making lucky stars have really helped my hand dexterity!

The story goes that if you make 1000 lucky stars, then your wish will come true ^^ I actually did make a wish *a secret!* and it did come true ^^ I need to make more so I can sneak another wish xD


Here is my stash of lucky star paper. I buy through JanetStore. She has a ton of nicely priced patterned paper and Janet is also super friendly ^^ I usually get my orders from her in about 2 weeks. Anyway, I have a scrapbox size box of nothing but paper… I may have ordered too much last time! lol But I can’t help it… the paper is too cute!

Here is my current storage for the stars. These are old Lychee Jelly Candy plastic containers… think they are~35 ounces each. Hopefully I can find prettier storage for them in the future~

Here is my Candy Store Blythe! I finally thought of a name for her… it’s been over a year! lol I decided that since she is so bright and happy candy theme to name her after the Japanese candy, Konpeito but ‘Peito for short. I changed her back to her stock outfit (minus the pink flower clips) yesterday. She’s so cute! I just wish her hair wasn’t so frizzy :(

Today was a great mail day! My Strapya order came in… a Marimo keychain and a One Piece themed case for my new cell phone, an iPhone 3GS ^^ I haven’t gotten to watch/read a lot of the series, but I thought this case was really cool xD They have cases based off of most the male cast. This one is for Luffy ^^

Along with my Strapya order came a Marimo ^^ Isn’t it cute! It’s a spherical moss that lives in water. I got the birthstones for my month, October. It’s very tiny! The bottle seems to be about 1 inch tall, not including the strap.

Today my kiddo and I went to McDonalds for lunch. She got this in her Happy Meal… it’s a Shrek watch. It’s kind of scary, actually @_@ When you close his mouth, his eyes look up. Actually, this is a very evil looking toy @_@;;;

Dog sitting ^^ Well, lazy dog laying down, I suppose. Been watching my sister’s dog for a few weeks ^^ The puppy has a lot of personality– always smiling and making silly faces. She loves to lay on the bed ^^;

And now… I have a pile of fabric I need to start cutting for some dolly outfits ^^ Hopefully I won’t get distracted by video games @_@

I decided to revamp my blog a little. You may have noticed it disappeared for a bit. I decided to expand the theme of this blog to more than just dolls. As much as I enjoy the little ones, I like artistic things in general :)

This will be a photo-heavy place ^^; Hope you all enjoy loading times lol

This is what I had for breakfast today. I’ve been really into BLTs lately. I think I had 2 yesterday. I like to make them as unhealthy as possible: buttered toasted Texas toast, thick slice bacon, sliced roma tomatoes, red leaf lettuce, and a coating of mayo. I had some sliced strawberries with it, along with sharp cheddar flavored kettle chips ^^ Yum.


I was lucky enough to win an autographed cd from my favorite band, the Dillinger Escape Plan. This is their newest release, Option Paralysis. I still need to get a CD frame for it. This will go nicely with my other autographed cd of theirs, Ire Works :D I wish I could get autographs of their other cds too xD

Nestled between my PS3 and Xbox 360 are the newest dolls I’ve gotten. They’re all BJDs :) From left is Si (Lati Yellow Ninja Ruki), Lumina (Lati Yellow Lumi… creative, I know lol), and a Doll in Mind Minimee head of Cloud Strife (Advent Children model). I need to get a body for the Cloud head, but I haven’t decided on which one yet. Also, a faceup! I might try it on myself. I think it’ll be fun :D The Tamagotchi and pink rose keychain are attached to my Nintendo DS ^^

Here’s the stand beside my sewing desk. Space is an issue, so I am a stacker! I love the drawer storage bins.. I have several, but I put them like this for easier access. The black box holds my PS3 and XBox 360 games, and Iron Man plushie protects me at night >:O All the boxes hold all the sewing accessories… I have a lot of sewing stuff! lol I’ve been trying to organize it better…

I had to upgrade my thread holder! I don’t think this is all my thread… my mom and I share it, really. My favorite part is color coding everything! lol I made the bunny bag from a DIY kit, and Bananaman is from a /toy/swap this past Christmas ^^ The mirror was also a Christmas gift, but I don’t have a photo that’ll fit in there yet… then skull heart keychain with Ladurée bear, by me ^^ Last, the gold necklace is a replica from Hana Yori Dango, I think the Korean drama version. I have the Meteor Garden (or the Taiwanese version of HYD) necklace as well ^^
