Boondock Saints – The Macmanus Brothers Plushies

I’m surprised I haven’t made these sooner xD But here they are! I made them just in time to celebrate my one year anniversary (Dec 24th) of watching both movies back to back and going wild over them.

If you’ve never heard of it, here’s the summary from Wikipedia listing: “The Boondock Saints is a 1999 American action film written and directed by Troy Duffy. The film stars Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus as Irish fraternal twins, Connor and Murphy MacManus, who become vigilantes after killing two members of the Russian Mafia in self-defense. After both experience an epiphany, the brothers, together with their friend (David Della Rocco), set out to rid their home city of Boston, Massachusetts of crime and evil; all the while being pursued by FBI Special Agent Paul Smecker (Willem Dafoe).

So, using a combination of patterns (trying to add a medium size option plush for my shop), I came up with a good balance ^^ They’re about 13″… a vast difference from the 22″ tall pattern I almost decided on xD

Pink BearBear iPad Cozy

I made a sleeve before for my iPad but sometimes I get scared of it sliding out and breaking into a million pieces. I found this really cute faux fur, so I decided to make something cute from it ^^

The flap closes down and secures with velcro. The inside is lined with padded quilting fabric.

I managed to make this in one night :) It was fun, but now pink fuzzy faux fur dominates my office x_x

Holiday Ornaments!

Hey everyone!
Are you freezing? Are you feeling the holiday spirit? Me, not so much, because it’s in the 80s here in ol’ Louisiana, so it just feels icky. But still, that hasn’t stopped me from working on some holiday ornaments! I’ll actually have a tree this year, so I’ve been working on some handmade goodness. Most of the patterns I used were from doing a search on Deviantart for “ornament patterns”, other sites, or just by sewing up basic shapes. Deco’ing them was pretty simple, too :)

I made at least 2 of each for myself and my daughter. I’m trying to create a “tradition” for us. Maybe one day, she’ll take these for use for her own family tree :)
