Doll Clothing
Q. When are you doing commissions?
Doll Custom Commissions are on a VERY limited basis.
Q. What will I need to send you when inquiring about an outfit commission?
Please provide me ONLY official (if applicable) accurate images (colors and costume details) of how you want the commission done as we are in the beginning stages of discussing the commission and prices. If at all possible, please no fan art unless it’s of a fan character or your original character.
If I can’t do it I will be honest and tell you. If I have any problems with your order I will be honest and tell you.
Q. Is there anything you can’t or won’t do?
One thing I am not very good at are complex gowns. The gowns you see from famous designs usually do not reproduce well on a 1:6 scale. Right now I am not taking commissions for overly complex outfits, but feel free to ask! I will not do (full) womanly figure or adult outfits on the Type 3 or 4 body.
Q. So what about complete outfits? How “complete” are they?
A. I usually can do the complete outfit minus shoes. I will usually let you know via our communication.
Q. How much do you charge for an original (or based on an existing product) item/outfit commission?
A. It depends on the item(s), and how complex it (they) are. Pricing depends on the amount of items, item(s) complexity, price of materials, and labor. Depending on the item you wish to order, I may have to specially purchase the fabric. I may not be able to find an EXACT replica of fabric for the item you wish but I will find the closest match. Please note that tiny details on human-sized clothing won’t directly be scaled-down for dollies. I take note of this in the cost. I always try to give you the best deal!
Q. How long does it take? Are you done yet?
A. Items can take anywhere from a day to a month or more depending on how complex your order is and how busy I am. I will keep in contact with you about your order on a very regular basis. If something occurs and I need your input, then please get back to me ASAP about it.
If you are away for awhile, then your order will be delayed until you get back. If you are too annoying and persistent on asking the status, after one or two warnings I will cancel the order and refund you any payment you have made.
However, since I will need your input on certain things, if you seem unwilling to help, then I will keep a non-refundable fee of 25% of the payment for my labor, and refund you the rest.
Q. Will you show my commission? May I email you photos/send you links of photos of my dolls wearing your work?
A. Yes, unless you state otherwise ;) If you say I can’t, I won’t, I promise. But I may ask to use it on my online portfolio and on the official Ambitious Love site. That doesn’t mean you have to say yes, though xD
Of course! I’ve love to see images of your dolls modeling my work ^^ In the future I will do a public call for photos, and may offer discounts and prize packages like a contest.
Please do join the Ambitious Love Flickr Group and add your photos and chat along with the others :3
